Hide cookie alerts, modals and pop-ups

Screenshots sometimes catch unwanted elements, like cookie banners and pop-ups. We often get asked if they can be removed, and the good news is: usually, yes.

Easy solution

Stillio checks each webpage for cookie banners. If one matches our list of common banners, we try to hide it. That works in many situations, but not all, because the web keeps changing.

Hiding cookie banners is on by default, but you can switch it off. The same goes for pop-ups that need an OK or Accept button to be clicked before the page shows. We can often detect those too, so only switch this on when you need it. By default, it's off.

You can change both settings on the Basics tab when you add or edit a webpage. Look for the two checkboxes at the bottom: Hide cookie banners and Click accept on cookie banners.

Custom solution

The Advanced settings tab lets you choose which elements (by class or ID) to click or hide before the screenshot is taken, with the Click and Hide fields. This takes a bit of technical knowledge, so you may want to ask a developer for help. Whitelist Stillio IP addresses

If you (or your staff) control the website you're screenshotting, you might be able to whitelist our IP addresses so the page loads without unwanted elements like cookie alerts, pop-ups and discount coupon modals.
